Referring Doctors

Dear General Practitioners,

I am Dr Honarvar, Cardiologist and I would like to highlight the following:

  • I am very happy to see urgent patients outside of routine appointments, particularly those with typical chest pain or conditions such as atrial fibrillation.
  • All cardiac investigations and diagnostic services are fully bulk billed.
  • I am easily accessible at any time via mobile or WhatsApp for advice or urgent consultations, including reviewing ECGs shared with me.
  • I welcome and review all cardiology-related consultations and referrals across the full spectrum of cardiovascular care.

I would like to introduce myself as I have recently joined the St John as an In-house cardiology practice. I am a Consultant Cardiologist with over 18 years of experience in both general and interventional cardiology.

My clinical interests include chest pain and suspected coronary artery disease, heart failure and cardiomyopathy, arrhythmias(including AF) and palpitations, valvular heart disease, and hypertension and cardiovascular risk assessment, and general cardiology.

I welcome your referrals and look forward to working with you to support high-quality, patient-centred care.

Kind regards,
Dr Mehrdad Honarvar
Consultant Cardiologist
